About our Project Consultant Position

Job Summary
The Project Consultant is responsible for meeting with prospective customers, identifying their needs, presenting AR Roofing & Remodeling solutions, and closing profitable sales. This role focuses on customer satisfaction, strong communication, accurate estimating, and consistently meeting sales and profit expectations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Represent AR Roofing & Remodeling professionally at all times

  • Build trust with customers through clear communication and follow-up

  • Sell clean, profitable projects that meet company standards

  • Accurately document all sales activity and job details
     

Duties & Responsibilities

Sales & Lead Management

  • Set and actively pursue monthly and yearly sales goals

  • Work company-generated leads diligently and efficiently

  • Self-generate leads through referrals, networking, and neighborhood canvassing

  • Canvass neighborhoods where projects are active when applicable

  • Follow up on all completed projects to build long-term customer relationships

Estimating & Contracts

  • Generate accurate estimates with complete materials lists

  • Ensure smooth transition from consultation to production

  • Initiate and manage change orders when necessary

  • Communicate all change orders and additional costs clearly with customers

  • Turn in clear, accurate contracts, drawings, estimates, photos, and pricing within 24 business hours of signing

Customer Communication

  • Arrive at all appointments and meetings at least 5 minutes early

  • Communicate professionally with customers, Project Managers, and leadership

  • Follow up with customers after installation to ensure satisfaction and referrals

Reporting & Documentation

  • Complete daily sales activity reports, forecasts, and required documentation

  • Accurately record all lead sources, communications, and job details in JobNimbus

  • Upload all required photos, notes, and documents in a timely manner

  • Ensure all communication is completed through company-approved systems

Tools & Technology

  • Properly use all required platforms including JobNimbus, CompanyCam, SalesRabbit, Hover, EagleView, and Trainual

  • Complete all assigned training and maintain proficiency in company systems

  • Follow all CRM, documentation, and reporting standards

Professional Standards

  • Maintain a neat appearance and proper uniform

  • Attend all required meetings and training sessions

  • Follow all company policies and procedures

  • Report any issues affecting safety, profitability, or customer satisfaction

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain a minimum close rate of 30 percent across all leads

  • Close rate of 40 percent or higher is considered strong and may qualify for incentives

  • Maintain a minimum gross profit margin of 42 percent on all projects

  • Generate 5–8 self-generated leads per month

  • Maintain consistent monthly sales production of $100,000 or more

  • Respond to assigned leads within 2 hours

    • Leads assigned after 7 PM must be followed up by 10 AM the next business day

Results Expected

  • Achieve annual personal sales goals

  • Sell profitable, high-quality projects

  • Maintain strong customer satisfaction

  • Communicate clearly with production and management teams

  • Provide accurate estimates that support efficient production

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proven ability to sell and close deals

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

  • Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment screenings

  • Physically capable of lifting up to 90 lbs and working on roofs and ladders

  • Ability to communicate clearly in English

Compensation

  • 8% commission on all replacements sold meeting profit requirements

  • 8% commission on all repairs sold meeting profit requirements

  • Commission adjustments may apply for projects below 42% gross profit margin

  • Insurance jobs excluded from margin-based commission adjustments
